The 300 watt Xenon lamp with a 0.7 x 2.4 mm effective arc size operates with the anode at the top. Xenon Lamp is filled with purified xenon at 5-20 bar. The pressure triples during operation. The small intense arcs radiate like 5500-6000 K full radiators with some xenon lines superimposed. The xenon lines dominate between 750 and 1000 nm, but the spectrum is almost featureless through the ultraviolet and visible. Xenon lamps are popular for demanding absorbance and fluorescence applications involving source spectral scanning, and as high intensity broadband sources. Because of its sun-like spectrum, the xenon lamp is used for solar simulation. Ultraviolet radiation below 242 nm produces toxic ozone. The ozone free lamp is ideal if you do not need the very short wave ultraviolet below 260 nm. Xenon lamps are genuine Ushio brand.

FEATURES:
- Smooth Emission Curve in the UV to Visible
- Ozone Free, UV Enhanced, and High Stability Versions
- Sun-like Emission Spectrum
- Small arc size ideal for spectroscopy application
Ozone Free Xenon Lamps
UV wavelength emissions below ~260 nm create toxic ozone. Ideally, an arc lamp is operated outdoors or in a room with adequate ventilation to protect the user from ozone created. If this is not possible, an Ozone Eater should be used. However, if the application does not require wavelength emission below ~260 nm from the arc lamp, using an ozone free lamp is a convenient option. An ozone free lamp is coated to remove the unwanted UV Wavelengths
High Stability Xenon Lamps
High stability Xe arc lamps are made of a higher quality cathode than typically used for xenon arc lamp construction. As a result, no arc wander occurs, allowing the lamp to maintain a consistent output intensity throughout its lifetime.
Small Arc and Sun-Like Emission Spectrum
Xenon lamps are popular for demanding absorbance and fluorescence applications involving source spectral scanning, and as high intensity broadband sources. Because of its sun-like spectrum, the xenon lamp is used for solar simulation.
